Tap into tomorrow.

Category-defining companies are built long before they're recognized.
We back founders at the moment possibility becomes inevitability.

Our approach

We invest at the moment of commercial ignition. When a breakthrough stops being a bet on possibility and becomes a bet on scale.

Beyond proof of concept. Before proof of scale. That's the narrow, high-conviction window where Maple Syrup Ventures invests.

Who we believe in

The operating system for the world's most valuable frontier.

Privateer

Space is becoming one of humanity's most critical operating environments. As the number of satellites, commercial missions, and national security assets accelerates, understanding what is happening in orbit becomes foundational infrastructure—not optional software.

Privateer sits at the convergence of AI, geospatial intelligence, and space operations, solving a problem whose importance only compounds over time. We believe they're building the intelligence layer that the next era of the space economy will depend on.

Reinventing how the world discovers knowledge.

Perplexity

Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming the interface between people and information. Companies that don't simply apply AI—but fundamentally reshape how knowledge is accessed and acted upon—have the potential to redefine entire markets.

Perplexity is transforming search from information retrieval into intelligence delivery, creating a new category whose commercial impact will extend far beyond the browser. We believe they represent the future of human-computer interaction.

Gut health for every age and stage

Tiny Health

Healthcare is shifting from reactive treatment to proactive optimization. The microbiome is emerging as one of the most important frontiers in that transition, with growing evidence linking it to immunity, metabolism, and long-term health outcomes.

Tiny Health combines advanced biological science with consumer accessibility, helping move preventive care into the home. We believe they are building the kind of personalized health platform that will define the next generation of medicine.

“The world's biggest opportunities don't come from incremental improvements—they come from rewriting the systems civilization depends on. We look for founders who have already proven what's possible and are ready to scale what the world can't afford to live without.”

Tobin Krieg

Co-founder & Managing Partner

Integrator. Systems Thinker. Analytical. Conviction-Driven. Founder-First.

Tobin evaluates the ecosystem surrounding the company—the customers, partners, regulators, and capital that determine the adoption of catalytic frontier technology. He believes adoption is earned, not assumed, and that the sharpest edge in deep tech is knowing what earns it.

In practice, that means mapping what surrounds a company—the customers, capital, and champions it needs—and testing whether they're ready to move. His investment philosophy balances conviction with evidence, embracing long-term thinking while remaining honest about uncertainty.

An ultrarunner and fifth-generation Vermonter, Tobin comes from a family of maple sugar makers—the origin of his conviction that the best things can't be rushed.

Logan Cox

Co-founder & Managing Partner

Pattern Recognizer. Long-Term Thinker. Capital Allocator. Curious Optimist.

Logan looks for inflection points—where emerging technologies, exceptional founders, and market timing intersect. His approach is grounded in independent thinking, intellectual curiosity, and the belief that enduring companies are built through patience, conviction, and disciplined decision-making.

He spends his time studying the systems shaping the future—from artificial intelligence and defense to infrastructure, energy, and space—seeking opportunities where technical breakthroughs create lasting competitive advantage.

As an investor, he values character as highly as capability and believes the strongest partnerships are built on trust, alignment, and a shared commitment to the long game.

Eric Khozindar

Co-founder & Managing Partner

Entrepreneur. Operator. Builder. Opportunity Creator. Mission-Driven.

Eric is a serial entrepreneur with a track record of building and scaling businesses across finance, entertainment, and the culinary industries. Within a decade, he founded and grew his first company into an eight-figure business, developing a practical approach to leadership rooted in execution, resilience, and operational excellence.

As an investor, Eric brings an operator's perspective to every opportunity, helping founders navigate the realities of building companies from the ground up. Beyond business, he is passionate about expanding access to mental health resources and advancing civic education through the nonprofit Texans for Greater Mental Health, which he founded in 2022.

Founder's Perspective

"It's rare to find investors who care as deeply about the people behind the company as they do the company itself. Maple Syrup has been a thoughtful partner, a trusted sounding board, and one of the first calls we make when we're facing an important decision."
